THE
WOMEN IN THE LIFE OF A MAN
The concept of this TV special (which won
an Emmy as Best Variety Special),
was for Anne Bancroft to play 14 different
women in 14 different scenes or sketches,
to show off her versatility.
The show was written by an army of famous
writers, including Anne's husband Mel
Brooks:
The musical numbers were choreographed by
Alan Johnson, who was Brooks’ dance
creator for "The Producers," "Blazing
Saddles," etc.
Here, Anne plays Trixie, a narcissist, who
dances her way through the decades.
